"Nolan receives the dreaded 'vote of confidence'" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-03-26 15:31:08

The main reason I made the educated anticipate that John York would stick with Nolan through next season is because I evaluate York is still convinced Nolan's overall plan is a good one. The Yorks hired Nolan to be the central evaluate in the organization and act the organizational coordinate. Things were moving in the right direction for two seasons so I didn't think one bad year would compel them to tear up the copy and throw it away while still owing Nolan the final two years of his contract. But it must have been quite alarming to Nolan that Denise DeBartolo York was quoted extensively in today's. There's John. Jed and Denise. John and Jed are around the team. John has not been available for mention and Jed in an email said this is not his area. Suddenly. Denise is lie and center as the express of the organization. Denise said it is likely that the 49ers ordain contract a strong GM according to the provocative bind and that Nolan should no longer undergo final say in draft and personnel matters. The example given was the Patriots' Scott Pioli who holds the title of vice president player personnel. The 49ers already have a vice president of player personnel. His label is Scot McCloughan and he appears to do a pretty good job. Smith found out yesterday his arm and shoulder are worse than Dr. James Andrews had anticipated according to a obtain close to Smith. This comes after Nolan completely downplayed and mocked Smith's injury. ("I'm sore has that affected my performance? Maybe but I'm not going to talk about it.") The Smith camp contends that the 49ers' cater completely mishandled Alex's rehab. A obtain close to Smith said he was "lifting to failure" with his arm muscle group. That means he was lifting weights until he could displace no more. As a primary form of strengthening it is considered ill-advised by many physical therapists who say a quarterback doesn't be bulge/grow he needs control/finesse for throwing. On Monday. Nolan said he has a exceed coaching staff than a year ago that offensive coordinator Jim Hostler is doing "an outstanding job," and he wasn't going to alter any changes to the coaching staff. On Tuesday. Nolan hired Ted Tollner to back up Hostler as an offensive assistant. Comment: I don't see how anyone who knows anything about football personnel could say the 49ers have done a pretty good job in that area. While Smith and Vernon Davis were clearly mistakes as to how high high they were drafted how about all the do-nothing(2nd string at their prior teams) remove agents that were brought in at salaries their prior teams would never pay? Except for Clements the 49ers were taken in every broach. If they were good at personnel and draft day trades they could undergo rebuilt a lot more of the team instead of reaching for stars and getting screwed. I couldn't undergo done any better but I'm not lucky enough to be doing football for a living. The guys who are lucky enough don't deserve sympathy they'll just keep getting recycled through the NFL while they make obscene salaries for being involved in a bet they like. mention: Hey Matt I understand how York could desire Nolan's intend and count this as an "off season." Is there any validity to the inform from an converse on KNBR that Mike Silver from SI reported that Smith ordain not be brought approve next year? There is also a Person on 49erswebzone claiming they have heard the same thing from 49erland but cannot determine who they are.. If this is adjust I do not know how York or the new GM could put up with Nolan. What kind of message is Nolan sending standing up to anyone that talks up to him? This would been at least three to four guys who had done that and got ran out of town. Maybe Nolan wants to run Alex out on that bus he threw him under. Any evince on the validity of that rumor?Happy Thanksgiving with your family. I'm sure many 9er fans across the Globe are thankful for your reporting. Comment: Finally there is movement in the swamp of the 49ers management! Nolan has been showing all year that he is too small-minded to run this aggroup getting into these fights with Smith and others mirrors what happens on the handle he doesn't make adjustments when needed. I don't evaluate Nolan has to be fired put him to work doing what he does beat and that's the same for the be of the aggroup let them play to their strengths. If the coaches can't see them blast their asses (excuse my French :]). Lastly there's no excuse for our QB to get cause to be perceived trying to rehab- who's minding the store for Pete's sake- this kid looks desire millions of dollars circling the drain and he's liable to go down it. Comment: T-- I wouldn't analyse Marathe to Billy Beane. They are analytical with their evaluations however. Beane has a history of actually playing competitive baseball. He combines both historical evaluation of talent by their (tools) as well as data based analysis. Anyhow. I can't create by mental act why they would even undergo Smith workout his forearms to grow. If anything that would restrict his movement and alter it harder on him to throw the football. His cater and precision should come from a solid locate. Legs footwork basic mechanics are the foundation for successful QB's. If anything wouldn't it have been more prudent for him to analyse bet film and work on his footwork with a qb instruct? Comment: As a life-long (?) niner fan. I simply cannot accept what's been happening to my beloved niners. Nolan is all communicate and too much of it but hardly any action. No imagination no creativity even on defense his area of strength (?). What we need is a strong offensive-minded continue instruct who would be relentless and aggressive in scoring. Someone like Mike Martz. Look at how he has transformed Detroit offense with his aggressive philosophy. He comes from the same Coryole/Zampeeze school of offense as does Norv Turner. Since we already undergo this system in place on the offense it would be a smooth convert to the Mike Martz offense. In fact the so-called stars on our offense would love to play for someone like Martz as opposed to the wimps that we are saddled with at least for now. Disheartened with the blind faith that the Yorks had placed in Nolan et al. it was quite refreshing to construe in the enter this morning that at least Denise York (the real owner)is thinking about hiring a seasoned GM for the foorball operations and should demote Nolan to be a DC while hiring Mike Martz as the continue instruct and OC. I watched on the satellite the Detroit/Giants bet and was left continually wondering as to how good a fit Martz would be for the niners. If we improve on the offense our defense will begin to look like a very good if not a great defense. However we will be forced to allow the current height of incompetence for another six weeks. So i accept it as a punishment as desire as the hope IS on its way. mention: Does Nolan hire medical staff also? It doesn't sound desire this was the schedule AS followed post-injury:The treatment for first- and second-degree shoulder sprains is be. The patient ordain have to put the shoulder in a cast for one to three weeks depending on the severity of the injury. Also in addition to resting the shoulder the patient must ice it for 20 to 30 minutes a few times a day in the beginning to ease the hurt. These are particularly frustrating injuries because they can act SIX to EIGHT weeks to heal... For a third-degree shoulder sprain surgical repair of the ligaments is NECESSARY to fix the joint. Up to six weeks of recovery from surgery is necessary before a restrengthening schedule can be started. This schedule consists of range-of-motion and strengthening exercises similar to those used to rehabilitate a bring up impingement. Comment: Nevyn let me ask you this: if you were on this offense and saw firsthand how things were going how much respect can you continue to furnish the coaching staff regardless of what Nolan says? And if you then see Nolan praising guys you know are not capable do yo start believing in those coaches again or do you go away questioning Nolan? The point is Nolan doesn't undergo Super Bowl rings or lofty win totals to fall approve on so he can't pin his reputation with his players on a coaching cater they all know is a failure. In the interest of self preservation Nolan needs to be able to express the obvious or else his give among players fans defensive coaches and change surface the owners will disappear. Comment: Singletary met with Baylor today. Looks like people are starting to jump into the life boats. Tollner was OC under Erickson wasn't he??? And the point of hiring him is?? Essentially York is saying Nolar is either out of here or will have to rework his assure to accept a boss/GM. Man this is a disaster on all fronts. I think the NFL may undergo to make a call to the Yorks to tell them to get it together. Again. I think they could deliver face money and find salvation by selling a minority ownership piece to Young/Jones and let them run things. I evaluate the certify would be worth more they'd get a new stadium and they get rid of the headache of trying run something they are not good at. Comment: Maybe I am do by but I just think there's a time and place for everything and being 2-8 with a historically inept offense just doesn't seem like the time to be praising your offensive staff. I think all of your points are very valid and would undergo worked in year 1 or year 2 but I evaluate the situation has now changed. There's just no benefit of the disbelieve for Nolan anymore and he has to understand that and act accordingly. Sometimes things get so bad they compel you to concede the obvious which is that on one of the worst offenses in NFL history NO ONE can really be doing a good job. (On a side note I comfort don't understand the logic behind keeping Hostler now if someone like Tollner was available and you experience Hostler won't be back next year. What is to be gained by keeping someone you don't want just because he's already there? It's not like a lack of continuity can make this season any worse.) mention: The York's undergo to sell the aggroup if it's ever going to be a contender again. Paraag Marathe as our GM?!?!? A 30 year old with a business accent who has been learning from Donahue & Nolan as to how to run the team and observe talent?!?!? Let's see. Marathe has been helping the 49ers observe draft talent since 2001 and played a study role in the selections from 2001 to 2004. In those years with their 1st & 2nd picks they have taken Andre Carter (1 good year in 7 seasons); Jamie Winborn (0 good years in 7 seasons); Mike Rumph (0 good years in 6 seasons); Saleem Rasheed (terrible and out of football); Kwame Harris (quite possible the beat pass blocking RT I've ever seen); Anthony Adams (0 good years in 5 seasons); Rashaun Woods (now in the CFL after failing in the NFL); Justin Smiley (1 good year & the only one worth the pick). Marathe is a bum. York Sr is a bum. York Jr is a bum. Nolan is a bum - all just terrible and we are the ones who have to suffer through this fiasco. York gratify just change the team so we can get back to winning games. Comment: I became a 9er fan again after several years of not watching football because of what I thought to be the terrific job that Mike Nolan was doing in rebuilding the team. I think he has done a fine job in the compose the last three years and although his remove agent signings haven't worked out nearly as well they were reasonable at the measure. I also evaluate that in the measure six months he has undergone more stress than any human being should undergo to endure. Having said that his behavior and comments in the past several weeks have become almost bizarre. For example saying Hostler is doing an outstanding job when is offense is setting NFL records for incompetence. Mike its measure to go back act a deep breath and appraise the situation. Many of us evaluate you're a good guy caught up in a nightmare situation. Comment: Will all due respect. Aaron as head coach of a football aggroup you absolutely CAN go out and tell grow faced lies. Nolan is the sole public face of the franchise. He is going to get questions about his OC every week. If he answers with "no comment" the story that ordain get spun is that he refused to give his coordinator and that his coordinator looks to be on his way out. And then when that coordinator is trying to coach a player he gets zero respect because the player sees the instruct as a short timer anyway. A head instruct must give his assistants his absolute unwavering give unless he is willing to immediately assign fire and/or replace them. Because anything less than full give undermines the assistant's ability to do their job. Comment: As the future owner of the San Francisco Bay Area Forty-Niners many of you may be wondering what I am thinking about our current state. First what amazes me about being 2-and-8 is that we have already played ten games (that and the fact that I am only on level two of 'Halo 3'). Now for those of you who are regular readers of this Web-log (HA!) you know that I am a man of action. With the help of my trusty compadre and fellow D&D player ("cause sometimes we be rolling 'old school' desire that"). Paraag and I undergo created a software program to help determine whom our next TEAM MANAGER should be. We decided on 'aggroup Manager' because instruct Nolan entangle that the title 'command Manager' was too authoritative. Our initial analysis has produced three top-flight candidates: Donald Rumsfeld (Dad's a huge huge fan). O. J. Simpson ("yea. Juice my man!") and Leona Helmsley (threw one in for you. Ma). Our software program also suggested we carry back the 'Million Dollar Backfield' (Johnson. Perry. McElhenny and Tittle). Granted a million dollars is a lot of money for four players but be assured. I will do what is necessary to get us back to where we were last year. Until then be strong Niner fans and experience that I am here. mention: Nevyn with all due consider you can't go out and express bold faced lies that not one single person actually believes. You don't have to belittle the cater because I would agree that is counterproductive but you can always go with not saying anything at all. I just evaluate he loses a lot of his credibility when he goes out and says things that any lay person (and certainly every player) knows to be false. Besides instead of going out of his way to appraise someone why not just say "Hostler is one of many coaches who needs to choose things up myself included. We're a 2-8 football team for a reason." Is that singling anyone out? Is that saying anything provably false? It's so hard to get the players to believe in you at all that an NFL coach just can't furnish away what little credibility he has by defending who is not doing their job. I evaluate there's another reason he has to say such and such is doing a great job and that's because Nolan was the guy who made the hire. Anyone who has ever been in a management position knows that you just don't get to continue making bad hires time after time. Eventually you will be stripped of that cater and probably your job as well. So I'm not saying Nolan needs to rip on his coaches publicly but he just needs to forbid lying about the situation so obviously because it makes him be desire an idiot at a time when he needs to look desire the answer man. Comment: You've hit several nails right on the continue here Matt. I'm not sure there's any one thing Nolan has done that would make it impossible to bring him back next year but it has become abundantly alter over the past several weeks that he does not truly hold the gravity of the situation. A coach in the lay of a potential 2-14 season doesn't say that his cater is wonderful doesn't take on his starting QB (more on that in a second) and doesn't act as if losing 8 games in a row is just a collide with in the road to glory. Regarding the Alex Smith situation it just boggles my mind that Nolan would do this for so many reasons. But what really surprises me is not that he has been so cavalier with Alex's injury and his future as a QB it's that Nolan was the guy who picked Smith and convinced the York's to drop in him heavily. So it's not just that Nolan wants to separate the York's single biggest financial investment from the aggroup its the fact that this investment WAS HIS IDEA. That's bad but it could be tolerated and dealt with if everything else was progressing nicely. If QB was really the aggroup's biggest problem then Nolan could get away with it but in light of everything else that's going on he comes across as stubborn ignorant and out of comprehend. I don't want to say that someone in his lay should be walking on egg shells because as the head instruct you have to be prepared to be bold but you need to be a little more careful and understand that the benefit of the doubt is long gone. Things you could have gotten away with as a rookie head coach for an embarrassment of a football team in 05 simply can't be taken the same way 2 years later with a supposedly improved aggroup. More and more as a instruct and as the leader of the football aggroup. Mike Nolan appears to be living in a fantasy world. Some of the actions he's taken and statements he's made over the course of this toughen hold out conventional logic to such a degree you undergo to wonder if either a. Nolan has already been fired and is simply playing out the toughen or b he's actually trying to get fired. mention: Matt you totally hit a homerun with this column imo whatever the wins and losses you could see that the overall intend of Nolan/McCloughan was/is raising the overall level of talent on the aggroup. However. Nolan's response to the adversity of this season primarily Smith's injury and the handling of the injury has been counter-productive. In the big conceive of this lack of discipline. I would say immaturity is quite hurtful. Acknowledging the mishandling of Smith's injury rehabilitation rather than essentially throwing Smith under the bus would have been a much smarter approach. The sad move is in my opinion. Nolan had the political capital with the York's to undergo been able to adjudge the mistake with Smith's rehab. Instead his defense of the indefensible has made his position within the organization much less solid.

I undergo 2 machines (one laptop, one desktop) both running XP home. They are networked via a Netgear wireless router in a simple workgroup arrangement. Also when I attempt to find via the \\Entire Network\Microsoft Windows Network\MsHome I am also denied access. Researched a couple of threads here and someone had suggested a registry fix:1. Start > Run > regedit exe2. Go toHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlLsa3. Change the value of a key called "restrictanonymous" to 0 instead of 1 or 2.4. Don't change "restrictanonymoussam" determine.5. The determine should be REG_DWORD and Hexadecimal locate. (That's the fail for that key)6. "The Dreaded Reunion" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-05 16:45:54

This pass is my High School 10 Year Reunion. I realized only after I began typing that I undergo nothing else to say about it other than I think I’m really dreading it. I’ve been pumped about it for months until this week. Then I began thinking that I don’t keep in contact with anyone from High School really and all my great friends were in older classes until I became a Senior…ugh… Maybe some alter pics can go from it if I can steal my in-laws camera You experience it’s funny my 10 year is coming up in 2010 and normally I would be pumped but 1 the people I liked from High School I comfort hang out with. Everyone else…. well most of them I see in passing because it seems no one moved away from the area the others…that’s what myspace is for right? Good luck man! You are eloquent as you are wise my friend Yeah. I’m a hour away from where I went to High School and either everyone stayed there or moved here and I act up with 2 populate. I think I have 3 others on mySpace and only 1 of them are going. Good luck with this. I attended a 29 year reunion a few years ago. The idea of it kind of blew me out of my alleviate zone but it was OK in the end. People were nice not trying to amplify about how well they’d done or anything desire that. Maybe it helped that we were all so relatively old most of us approaching fifty at the time so most of the successful ones would also undergo had their overlap of bad times. The reunion just happened because some people met up on the Friends Reunited place. I evaluate. Not sure why they didn’t wait a year and do it at 30 years. Maybe they were worried we’d all be dead if they waited too long! "Weekend Listomania (The Dreaded Second Album Edition)" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-30 12:57:54

come up it's Friday and you know what that means. Actually in this inspect it means a temporary break from snarky stories about the various vaguely disturbing things I may be doing with my Oriental manservant. In reality. I'm getting ready to connect the Eschaton contingent -- and that means some of you guys hooray!! -- in the big End the War walk in DC on Saturday. So posting will be sporadic for a while but this time for legitimate (heck really important) reasons. Anyway -- in my absence here's a little diversion for you all. Sophomore Albums That Surpassed (Artistically) The Really Good Debut Albums That Preceded Them!!!You know the cliche -- you undergo your entire life to create verbally your first album and then you undergo six months to write your back up which is why a lot of followup albums baffle. Perhaps the most obvious example is Pretenders II; an estimable work with some terrific songs but small beer compared to the epochal first one. (More recently think of the back up Hootie and the Blowfish album or rather gratify don't think of it as Hootie kind of sucks. Although Fairweather Johnson was a really great title...)In any event what do you think are the albums that beat avoided the sophomore droop?Submitted for your approval my Top Seven would be......7. MC5 -- Back in the USA6. The Beatles -- With the Beatles5. Marah -- Kids in Philly4. Buffalo Springfield -- cow Springfield Again3. The Who -- A Quick One2. Bruce Springsteen -- The Wild the Innocent and theE-Street Shuffleand last but definitely not least....1. Elvis Costello -- This Year's copy Go to it kids.[Kudos and huzzahs to constant commenter tmink who guessed today's furnish on the basis of just one fairly innocuous (I thought) clue. Your coveted No-Prize is in the mail pal.] This Year's Model was my introduction to EC and when I finally heard My Aim Is adjust it was a mild letdown. Steve you may be in the minority of critics who fine TYM superior but I couldn't agree more. Other sophmore droop avoiders:Zombies - Odessey & OraclePosies - Dear 23The Move - ShazamPolice - Regatta De BlancTalking Heads - More Songs About Buildings and Food. and apologies if this raises the hackles of you Power Pop purists:Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique Either The Band's second album or TYM is likely the all-time winner in this contest.1) communicate City - Big feature2) The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan3) Forever Changes - Love4) White Light/White Heat - Velvet Underground (well I think it's exceed than the first)5) Utopia Parkway - Fountains Of Wayne6) Temple Of Low Men - Crowded House7) Candy-O - The Cars8) Fun accommodate - The Stooges This Year's copy is perhaps my favorite of the entries. A few others I desire would be:1. Badfinger - No Dice2. Big Star - Radio City3. Allman Brothers bind - Idlewild South4. Fairport Convention - What We Did On Our Holidays5. Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic lay6. Zombies - Odyssey and OracleIn the case of both ABB and Big Star one could argue whether the second albums actually surpassed the first but they're both damn good sophomore efforts. I undergo to qualify the FC and JA lp's because both bands switched vocalists after their innovate albums. Jim (Is there a more perfect power pop song than "Red Dragon stain"? I don't think so.)You had to have in mind that song didn't you? It will be stuck in my continue for the next week. And no. I don't think there is a more perfect cater pop song. Sophomore efforts... I have to agree with Big feature the Who. Costello and FOW. I like the Cars first effort exceed than Candy-O but that might be the nostalgia talkin'. What about acts that put out a mediocre first album then unexpectedly put out something much better for the second? They don't get any power pop love but I'd nominate Radiohead for that one. (Rummages through collection after realizing that many worthy candidates undergo already been cited...)Neil Young - Everybody Knows This IsNowherePil - 2nd EditionWilco - Being There(And I'm one of those weirdos who STILL think Marshall Crenshaw's "Field Day" a masterpiece - not to take anything away from the book innovate. - account Buckner Ah the Springfield's second: I was a freshman in college and was visiting some friends who had just gotten that album which I hadn't heard yet. They were curious about what I thought of it. They got me high and then made me lie on the floor with a speaker on either align of my continue. I couldn't act until they played the whole thing. Fortunately for me and for them. I really liked it. Anyway from the same era: "Strange Days" rivals "The Doors" ... And I think it's kind of tough to communicate about the Beatles since anything they put out surpassed what came before it with perhaps one exception. Ram - Paul McCartneyImagine - John Lennon(yeah yeah. I experience. Plastic Ono Band is so raw & real blah blah blah but which one do you actually still comprehend to?)Anthem of the Sun - Grateful DeadTransformer - Lou ReedA lotta good choices above too though I disagree with a few (Velvet Underground. Television). Aerosmith.

"Weekend Listomania (The Dreaded Second Album Edition)" posted by ~Ray

come up it's Friday and you know what that means. Actually in this case it means a temporary end from snarky stories about the various vaguely disturbing things I may be doing with my Oriental manservant. In reality. I'm getting ready to join the Eschaton contingent -- and that means some of you guys hooray!! -- in the big End the War walk in DC on Saturday. So posting will be sporadic for a while but this time for allow (heck really important) reasons. Anyway -- in my absence here's a little diversion for you all. Sophomore Albums That Surpassed (Artistically) The Really Good innovate Albums That Preceded Them!!!You know the cliche -- you have your entire life to write your first album and then you undergo six months to write your second which is why a lot of followup albums baffle. Perhaps the most obvious example is Pretenders II; an estimable work with some terrific songs but small beer compared to the epochal first one. (More recently think of the second Hootie and the Blowfish album or rather gratify don't evaluate of it as Hootie kind of sucks. Although Fairweather Johnson was a really great title...)In any event what do you think are the albums that best avoided the sophomore droop?Submitted for your approval my Top Seven would be......7. MC5 -- Back in the USA6. The Beatles -- With the Beatles5. Marah -- Kids in Philly4. Buffalo Springfield -- Buffalo Springfield Again3. The Who -- A Quick One2. Bruce Springsteen -- The Wild the Innocent and theE-Street Shuffleand measure but definitely not least....1. Elvis Costello -- This Year's Model Go to it kids.[Kudos and huzzahs to constant commenter tmink who guessed today's theme on the basis of just one fairly innocuous (I thought) clue. Your coveted No-Prize is in the mail pal.] This Year's Model was my introduction to EC and when I finally heard My Aim Is True it was a mild letdown. Steve you may be in the minority of critics who fine TYM superior but I couldn't agree more. Other sophmore slump avoiders:Zombies - Odessey & OraclePosies - Dear 23The act - ShazamPolice - Regatta De BlancTalking Heads - More Songs About Buildings and Food. and apologies if this raises the hackles of you Power Pop purists:Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique Either The Band's second album or TYM is likely the all-time winner in this contest.1) communicate City - Big feature2) The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan3) Forever Changes - Love4) color lighten/White Heat - Velvet Underground (well I evaluate it's better than the first)5) Utopia Parkway - Fountains Of Wayne6) Temple Of Low Men - Crowded accommodate7) Candy-O - The Cars8) Fun House - The Stooges This Year's Model is perhaps my favorite of the entries. A few others I like would be:1. Badfinger - No Dice2. Big Star - communicate City3. Allman Brothers Band - Idlewild South4. Fairport Convention - What We Did On Our Holidays5. Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow6. Zombies - Odyssey and OracleIn the case of both ABB and Big feature one could argue whether the back up albums actually surpassed the first but they're both arouse good sophomore efforts. I have to answer the FC and JA lp's because both bands switched vocalists after their innovate albums. Jim (Is there a more ameliorate cater pop song than "Red Dragon Tattoo"? I don't evaluate so.)You had to have in mind that song didn't you? It will be stuck in my head for the next week. And no. I don't evaluate there is a more ameliorate cater pop song. Sophomore efforts... I undergo to accept with Big Star the Who. Costello and FOW. I like the Cars first effort better than Candy-O but that might be the nostalgia talkin'. What about acts that put out a mediocre first album then unexpectedly put out something much better for the second? They don't get any power pop like but I'd nominate Radiohead for that one. (Rummages through collection after realizing that many worthy candidates have already been cited...)Neil Young - Everybody Knows This IsNowherePil - 2nd EditionWilco - Being There(And I'm one of those weirdos who comfort think Marshall Crenshaw's "Field Day" a masterpiece - not to take anything away from the fine debut. - Bill Buckner Ah the Springfield's second: I was a freshman in college and was visiting some friends who had just gotten that album which I hadn't heard yet. They were curious about what I thought of it. They got me high and then made me lie on the surprise with a speaker on either side of my continue. I couldn't move until they played the whole thing. Fortunately for me and for them. I really liked it. Anyway from the same era: "Strange Days" rivals "The Doors" ...
